‘A dream come true’ Disney trip for Macy’s Celebrate Mom sweepstakes winner

Kristen Tennis of Pelham, N.H., had dreamed of taking her family on a Walt Disney World vacation.
“I even had a large bucket with Disney pictures taped all over the sides, and it was our ‘Disney Fund,’” Kristen said. “All of our spare change went in there.”
But, she said, the family finances just weren’t adding up for a trip they had planned for early next year.
Imagine Kristen’s surprise when she learned that she had won the Macy’s Celebrate Mom sweepstakes, with its prize of a vacation at both Disneyland AND Walt Disney World.
“This was a dream come true for me. If it wasn’t for winning this sweepstakes, I don’t think we would be going to Disney anytime soon,” Kristen told me. “We are all absolutely ecstatic to be taking our first family vacation together, and having it be at Disneyland and Disney World.”
Kristen, 29, will be bringing her fiance, Rob, and her daughters, Amber, 11, and Shannon, 6, on the trip. They’ll be traveling next week, along with winning moms representing the other 49 states and the District of Columbia. These lucky families will fly to Disneyland on Sunday, then head to Florida on Tuesday to visit Walt Disney World.
Kristen, whose last visit to Walt Disney World was to celebrate her high school graduation in 1997, says she’s looking forward to experiencing Disney with her daughters.
“I am most looking forward to spending time with my family on this vacation and seeing the magic in Amber and Shannon’s eyes throughout the whole trip,” Kristen said. “This really is the opportunity of a lifetime.”

Finally the luck came!

I am a lucky WINNER too!!!! I can not wait to go and meet all the winners… This week has been a busy one though… My dad had emergency knee surgery on MOnday and then we got him to rehad on Thursday and tonite Friday is the Relay for LIfe we do every year since I lost my mom to Cancer and then we go to Omaha to morrow to stay with my cousin so we can catch our flight out of Omaha on Sunday!!! its such an incredible time and a trip thats unbelivable!! a story thats to good to be true for my nephew!!!
