Getting your children ready for 3-D

Many of the most popular theme park attractions contain 3-D elements. And they probably sound exciting to you, but 3-D can be terrifying to a child who has no idea what it is.
So the simple solution is to get them ready in advance. To avoid meltdowns on the big day, you should be talking to your kids about the different experiences they can expect to have at your chosen theme park, and 3-D is one of them.
So how do you explain it? Start by explaining the difference between what we see on television (a flat picture) and what we see in the real world. Then you can explain that there’s going to be an attraction at the theme park that will be a movie or TV picture, but it will look more like real life.
And don’t forget to tell your kids about the glasses they’ll need to wear.
If you want them to experience 3-D before the park, there are many children’s books available that have 3-D pictures. They usually come with one or two pairs of glasses. There are also some 3-D DVDs available.
