La Hacienda de San Angel at EPCOT: The decor Disney threw a fiesta last week to show off its new dining venue at EPCOT, La Cantina y La Hacienda de San Angel.

The restaurant’s innovative design features a counter service restaurant outside and a table service restaurant inside. During the day, those ordering counter service will be able to eat inside, and during dinner hours, the inside will be used for table service guests.

The Hacienda is modeled after a house that has been turned into a restaurant and expanded through the years. The rooms feature different colors and different decor, just like a house would.

Disney art directors traveled to Mexico to choose all the artwork, vases, baskets and other interior decor.

I especially love all the beautiful lighting inside La Hacienda. Gorgeous blown glass fixtures are everywhere.

Another big part of the decor inside La Hacienda de San Angel are the giant windows overlooking the World Showcase Lagoon. As expected, there are gorgeous views of Illuminations from just about every seat in the house at this new Disney World restaurant.

  1. Had lunch at the new outdoor Mexican counter service restaurant at EPCOT on Jan 30. I left very unimpressed. The wife and I had the chicken tacos. Our plates had what could only be described as 3 miniature tacos and about 50 cents worth of chips. Two plates, one coke and one beer…$33.00. And the food was forgettable. Having said this, we will give it one more chance but will order something else.
