Muppets Monday: The countdown is on!

Just three days left until “The Muppets” opens in theaters on Wednesday, Nov. 23. I had the privilege of seeing a screening of the movie this weekend, and while I can’t post a full review until Wednesday, I will say that I was NOT disappointed.
I absolutely loved being able to share the experience with my daughter. As I think I’ve made very clear here on the blog, I adored the Muppets when I was a kid, and it was totally touching to watch my daughter enjoy them, as well. So touching, in fact, that I decided to tweet the film’s star, co-writer and executive producer right after I saw it.
I have already made plans to see the movie again on opening day, this time with a crowd of 10+ people in my extended family. If you are making plans to see it over this holiday weekend, I would highly recommend buying your movie tickets in advance. I’m guessing that many showings of the movie will sell out. If you’ve never bought tickets online in advance before, one good place to start is Fandango.com. Many movie theaters use Fandango to sell their advance tickets.
Finally, I wanted to tell you about this really cool post on RoadTripsforBeer.com. It’s an odd place for a Muppets post, right? But Gerard over there is speculating about what kinds of craft beer each of the Muppets would drink after a tough day at Muppet Theatre. It’s very funny, so check it out!
