Scaling laundry mountain with the #WhirlpoolWashSquad app

I bet you didn’t know that I lived near a mountain. I split my time between Illinois and Florida, and neither state is known for its mountains, but I have one. I call it laundry mountain. And while I try to climb it every weekend, I never seem to make it all the way to the summit – that mythical place where the baskets and hampers are empty, and everyone’s clothes are neatly folded in drawers and hung in closets.

I don’t even have a big family, but I just can’t seem to keep up. I have tried enlisting my daughter’s help with laundry in the past, but I guess she’s not as interested in “mountain climbing” as I am.

She did get a little more interested in laundry when we got a shiny new front-loading Whirlpool washer and dryer. The fancy controls intrigued her. But, I was unable to keep her interested in helping.

That’s why I am excited about the free Whirlpool WashSquad app. You can download it here: http://bit.ly/GPZeAg.

The Whirlpool WashSquad app allows you to assign laundry tasks to members of your family. It keeps track of how many loads of laundry they do – making it like a contest with a leader board. And the WashSquad includes a stain removal guide and fabric coach to help you and your family with tough loads. I especially like that I can create custom instructions that are tailored to my Whirlpool washer and dryer to help my daughter know exactly how I want a particular load done.

We tried out the Whirlpool WashSquad app this weekend, and so far, my daughter says it makes climbing laundry mountain “SLIGHTLY more fun.” That’s a ringing endorsement from a 10 year old, don’t you think?
