Those beloved Disney Princesses will have a new place to greet guests at the Magic Kingdom in just two days. Princess Fairytale Hall opens on Sept. 18. I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek inside the new Fantasyland venue over the weekend, and I am sharing my pictures and impressions here today!
As you will see from the pics, Princess Fairytale Hall is a very regal place to meet a princess. And it’s an air-conditioned one at that. When we approached the entrance, there were two queue lines that ultimately wind up in one of two rooms inside the hall. We were given the choice of meeting Rapunzel or Cinderella on this night, and we chose Rapunzel.
Stained glass windows fit for a princess adorn the front of the hall.
Heading inside, the regal atmosphere continues with arched windows, brightly colored tapestries and light fixtures shaped like crowns.
The second room in the queue is decorated with lovely portraits of the princesses, lit by sconces.
I especially loved the portraits of Tiana and Snow White.
Here’s a look at the woodwork and chandeliers in the portrait room.
The centerpiece at the front of the portrait room is a draped case containing a certain magical glass slipper.
As they say, if the shoe fits…
Finally, the royal moment arrived and we were led into a room to greet Rapunzel and (bonus!) Snow White. Here’s a look at the room with the queue line from the back of it.
And from the queue line while waiting to greet the princesses…
The princesses were fabulous, of course, taking plenty of time with the guests. I loved the setting in this room with the urns overflowing with flowers, the rich tapestry drapes and the warm wood paneling on the walls. This book was set up on a table in the room:
And then, our princess preview was done. The regal treatment continues at the exit.
